Anne-Claire Regan aka Hibou ("eeboo" = “Owl” in French) is a Fiber Artist and the playful mind behind HibouDesigns.
Inspired by the imagination and great humor of her son, her background in art history, and the tradition of craft transmitted by the women in her family, Anne-Claire believes in the power of naïveté, and channeling a childlike enthusiasm into her creations. Her designs are colorful, whimsical, mindful and meant to make people smile. From framed embroidery to one of a kind felt dolls, from unique ornaments to accessories such as socks, enamel pins and keychains, her creations are all made with love. A native of France, Anne-Claire currently lives in the Maplewood/South Orange area of the state of NJ, with her husband Brion and her 14 year old son, Jack. Her work has been published in a variety of magazines & newspapers such as “Stuffed -The Crafting of Softies” or the Boston Globe, and shown at various art galleries and craft shows around the US.
